INCLUSION

Inclusion

Every student at The Oxford School is entitled to full access to learning, whatever their ability, background, or starting point. Our Inclusion provision is built around early identification, a graduated approach to support, and strong partnership with families.

We support:

Students of Determination

Through formal diagnosis or school-identified need, following the KHDA Categorisation System, with Individualised Education Plans, in-class accommodations, and access to Learning Support Assistants, Special Educators, and visiting therapists.

English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners

Supported through a tiered model (universal classroom instruction, small-group intervention, and intensive one-to-one support) that tracks progress from first entering English to full fluency.

Gifted and Talented students

Identified across academic, creative, leadership, sporting, and performing arts domains, with enrichment plans, advanced learning opportunities, and pathways to represent their community and country.

Our approach is strengths-first.

In line with our People First Communication Policy, we speak about what a child can do, not what they lack — because language shapes belonging.

Safeguarding

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our absolute priority. The Oxford School operates a robust, proactive Child Protection and Safeguarding framework, fully aligned with UAE Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 (Wadeema’s Law) and KHDA requirements.

If you ever have a concern about a child’s safety, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Leads or School Counsellors directly, or reach out to:
